Langreo

This project was a traditional single family home addition in Asturias, Spain.

The owner wanted to make an addition to the second floor and completely transitioned from the traditional style to a much more modern view. He also wanted an open concept first floor, a balcony out of the primary bedroom and a good south exposure to gain as much natural light as possible.

We reinforced the existing concrete structure and extended to the second floor with a steel structure that allowed us to have bigger spam and more open spaces in both first and second level.

The exterior was designed based on the contrast between white/black and marking the original main structure and the addition. The ventilated facade with tile cladding get the modern vibe that the owner was looking for.
